Artist Statement
My paintings explore the relationship between humans and animals, a
subject I have been fascinated by since my youth, which I spent in the
countryside caring for animals. The works focus on personalities,
behaviour and the essence of individual creatures as well as
challenging stereotypes. I endeavour to deal with contentious issues in
a traditional way using oil paint with a painterly effect, aiming to
create a narrative with expressive colour.
